Hi, I’m Kate, a  photographer based in Maple Ridge, BC, and I’ve had a love affair with photography ever since I was little. When I was just 9 years old, I asked for my first camera —a simple, film point-and-shoot—and I was instantly hooked. Capturing the beauty of the world around me became my favorite pastime, and it felt like magic to see those moments come to life on film.
At 17, I borrowed my dad’s old film camera and started learning the art of photography more seriously. That’s when I discovered my true passion: portrait photography. There was something special about capturing people’s emotions, expressions, and unique stories, and I knew I had found my creative outlet.
Then, I bought my first digital DSLR and I continued my photography journey, diving deeper into the world of portraits, but then life took over. With kids and a busy career, photography took a backseat. Suddenly, it was 2022, and I realized my daughters were already 7 and 9. I had blinked, and time had flown by. That’s when I decided it was time to reclaim my passion and rediscover my love for photography.
As a mom, I also realized something important—I didn’t have many professional photos with my daughters. I had countless snapshots on my phone, but they didn’t truly capture those special moments worth cherishing in a family album. That’s when I understood how important it is to create beautiful, tangible memories that families can treasure for years.
Now, I’m dedicated to helping other families do just that. Through my photography, I aim to turn fleeting moments into timeless artwork, creating pieces that you’ll be proud to display in your home. Let’s capture your story, so you can relive those cherished memories every day.
